The time now is ...beep.

[In the early morning...VERY early morning of Sept. 29. 1998]... This page was created on Sept. 29, 1998. The majority of the subsequent links are not up yet. Actually, about 99% of the links are still broken because I have not uploaded them yet. I hope to finish this preliminary draft in a day or two. After it is finished, I shall make revision and proof-reading upon availability.

[In the evening of Sept. 29, 1998]... Yesssss! I've finished the draft. I can finally have some sleep now. Working on these pages 20-something hours a day for 3 days is not my idea of fun.

My collection of compact disks is catalogued in this archives.  Most of the disks are classical music.  After I was introduced to the original Japanese anime a few years ago, I began to collect the anime compact disks as well.  That explains the pictures and background I use in my web pages.  The name of the character is Sizer.  She is one of the main characters in the anime "Violinist of Hameln".  As you can see in the background picture, her scythe is also a flute of some sort.  The anime "Violinist of Hameln" itself is not about music.  But most of the names of its characters are music instruments, e.g., flute, horn, guitar, oboe, drum, etc.  Some characters use music instruments as their weapons, too.  It is an interesting sight to see Hamel play Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" and a swan come out of the music (i.e., nowhere) to attack.  The animation of this anime is not particularly impressive.  There are too many frozen frames actually.  However, in my opinion, its heavey usage of classical music is its strong point.

All of the above bring me to the decision of using Sizer from "Violinist of Hameln" as the theme of my compact disk catalogue.  Not all of my compact disks are catalogued here, though.  I am too lazy to put up pages for the stack of miscellaneous compact disks and categorize them.  (I might do that someday when I am too bored and have too much time on my hands.)  In conclusion, this set of pages is mainly for my own benefit so that I shall not buy disks with duplicated music pieces by accident.  You are more than welcome to look through them, of course, even though I am not sure what good it would bring to you.  If you want to comment on the pages and/or my collection, talk about anime with me, or want to give me a compact disk or two for reasons beyond me, you are more than welcome to do it, too.  The necessary information is in my main page.  The return link at the very bottom of this page should bring you there.  (Hint hint!  Please DO go there.)  Have fun!
